Corned Beef with Horseradish Mustard Sauce and Vegetables

Corned Beef with Horseradish Mustard Sauce ⋆ Vintage Mountain Homestead (2)

Slow-cooked corned beef with horseradish mustard sauce is one of my and my family’s ultimate favorite dinners. It is more of a favorite when I add horseradish mustard sauce. When I say, we have corned beef, the entire house gets excited. And to be perfectly honest, I think I could each slow-cooked corned beef every week. My version is so delicious that I can never get enough.

You can find some of my favorite corned beef recipes on this blog. I love my Sweet Mustard Corned Beef and a similar recipe slow-cooked with a distinct Guinness gravy. And now this new recipe is great and compliments my Irish meal list quite well.

Cost to make this recipe.

I calculated this wonderful slow cooker recipe to cost around $19.13 for the entire recipe or about $3.19 per serving size. For a complete meal, this price is amazing to feed a family of 4-6 people.

As homesteaders, we can reduce our costs slightly by growing our carrots, green cabbage, and coriander seeds. Plus, I only like to buy corned beef on huge holiday sales to save money. Corned beef can be as high as $6.00/lb. During and after St. Patrick’s Day, the price can sometimes be as low as $3.00/lb. I can reduce my dinner price to $10.15 or $1.69 per serving size.
